Cycle rally for BRT lane awareness
Sunday, April 13, 2008 22:45 [IST]
New Delhi: A cycle rally was organised today on the first upcoming Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Corridor in South Delhi's area with an aim to create awareness about the need for segregated lanes for smooth traffic flow.

"The rally on the route stretching from Ambedkar Nagar to Moolchand Flyover in South Delhi was also an attempt to encourage the citizens towards adopting pollution-free mode of transport," said a spokesperson from the Transportation Research and Injury Prevention Programme.

He said with the movement of traffic in segregated lanes, commuting will become easier and the risk of accidents will also be reduced, according to a statement here.
