Four SIMI leaders sent to police custody

Narsinghgarh: Four top leaders of banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) were remanded to police custody till April 19 by a local court today.

Safdar Nagori, Qamaruddin Nagori, Aami Parvez, Hayat Khan and Shibli, arrested last month, were produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) S K Dwivedi.

They were brought here from Indore, where they were already in remand.

The arrested leaders frequently visited Narsinghgarh town of Rajgarh district and had organised a training camp of the banned outfit, Rajgarh Superintendent of Police D K Arya said.

Thirteen top SIMI leaders, including the four, were apprehended from Indore on March 27 where they were holed up in a residence to organise a meeting of the banned outfit.
