Wellington: New Zealand will boost its diplomatic links with the rest of the world with hundreds of millions of dollars of new funding and raise the number of overseas-based diplomats by 50 per cent, Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters said today.
Small countries like New Zealand risked having their interests pushed aside unless they made themselves heard, Peters said in a speech to the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs in Wellington.
