New Delhi: BJP leader L K Advani condoled the death of the school children in a road accident at Bodeli village in Gujarat on Wednesday.

"It is an immeasurable and irreparable loss to the parents who lost their beloved ones. I condole with a very heavy heart the unfortunate death of so many children," he said in a message here.

He said he was sure that the government of Gujarat will be doing its best to deal with the crisis and provide necessary relief to the bereaved family.

At least 44 people, most of them children on their way to school, were killed when the bus fell into Narmada canal at Bodeli village, about 60 kms from Vadodara.

The bus was on its way from Targol to Bodeli when the mishap occurred on Wednesday.
