Guntur (AP): CPM Guntur district Secretary N Rama Devi received head injuries when police resorted to cane charge to disperse CPM and TDP activists during a sit-in Collectorate here today.
The two Opposition parties were holding a joint sit-in to protest against the rising prices of essential commodities. Police said the protesters tried to force their way into the Collectorate following which they resorted to cane charge in which Rama Devi was injured.
