Charges framed against Bihar ex-minister

Nawada (Bihar): The district court here today framed charges against Bihar's former minister Rajballabh Yadav, his father Jehal Prasad Yadav and seven others for violating the model code of conduct during elections.

First classs judicial magistrate S K Singh today framed charges against former Labour Minister and RJD leader Yadav, his father, a former chairman of district board and seven others for violating model code of conduct under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code during 2005 assembly election.

The father-son duo and their seven supporters were arrested with licenced firearms on the election day near ITI crossing despite a ban on carrying weapons.

All the accused pleaded not guilty.
