Five killed in bus-truck collision in Assam
Monday, April 21, 2008 13:58 [IST]
Morigaon: Five passengers were killed and 20 others injured in a collision between a bus and a truck on National Highway 37 in Morigaon district today, the police said.

The Lakhimpur-bound bus collided with the truck at Jungalbolohu near Roha town around 10:30 am, the sources said.

Senior district police and civil officials rushed to the spot and sent the injured to the Nagaon Cvil Hospital.

The carriageway was being widened with a portion blocked off, which might have caused the accident, the sources added.
