Jammu: Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were shot dead in Reasi district today.

On a tip off, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Bhimdasa area of the district.

During the operation an encounter took place in which the two militants were killed.

Two ak rifles, three magazines and some explosive material were recovered from the site of encounter, official sources said.

In another operation, army troops unearthed a militant hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Rajouri.

On a specific information, troops launched a search operation in Thanamandi in Rajouri district yesterday and unearthed the hideout.

Six ubgl grenades, 52 rounds of pika ammunition and huge quantity of assorted ammunition were recovered from the site.
