Three organisations float J&K united front

Jammu: Three political and social organisations has announced formation of Jammu and Kashmir United Front (JKUF) with an objective to fight for the political rights of the people of state and contesting ensuing assembly elections.

The front, comprising Jammu and Kashmir Awami Takreek (JKAT), J&K Labour Party (JKLP) and National Peace Movement (NPM), would strive to meet the genuine regional aspirations of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh through autonomous councils headed by civil legislature, the spokesman of the JKUF S K Ambardar told reporters here.

He said that JKUF would persue the goal of getting PoK to be merged with its parent state, besides restoration of pre-1953 status to Jammu and Kashmir so that the psychological aspirations of vast majority of populace is fulfilled.
