Two killed in Madrid plane crash
Saturday, April 26, 2008 09:43 [IST]
Madrid: The Spanish Interior Ministry on Friday said police are investigating whether drugs are linked to a small plane that crashed at the estate of one of the country's most prominent bankers, killing both people on board.

A ministry representative, Maximo Diaz-Cano, said the plane crashed as it tried to land at the private airstrip of banker Emilio Botin.

A third person has been detained at the estate, located 230 kilometres southwest of Madrid.

Botin is president of Banco Santander Central Hispano, Spain s largest bank by market capitalisation.
