Kishtwar: Security personnel today arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant in Kishtwar district, official sources said.

Based on specific information, troops of 11 the Rashtriya Rifles (Doogra) and J-K police conducted a joint operation and apprehended a militant from Navapachi in the district, officials said.

The militant has been identified as Aashiq Hussain, a resident of Astan, they said, adding that a rifle and assorted ammunition was recovered from him.
