BSF seizes 10 kg heroin in Punjab

Amritsar: The Border Security Force today seized ten kilogram heroin worth Rs 10 crore in the international market from the possession of two farmers at Khemkaran village in Tarn Taran district.

The consignment was seized from the farmers, identified as Gurlal Singh and Lal Singh, when they were returning after cultivating their fields located beyond barbed fencing along Indo-Pak border, BSF officials said.

The accused during the preliminary interrogation revealed that their third accomplice named Bikar Singh was also with them but fled from the spot when BSF officials were frisking them, they said.
