Slovak delegation calls on Speaker

New Delhi: A Slovak delegation led by its Foreign Affairs minister Jan Kubis today met Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee here and discussed matters of mutual interest.

Chatterjee thanked the five-member delegation for the Slovak Republic's continued support to the coutry for permanent membership of the UN Security Council while Kubis described India as a "living school of democracy".

They spoke on issues of mutual concern and called for greater exchanges at all levels Parliamentary delegations and cultural and student exchange programmes between the two nations.

The Speaker also briefed the visiting delegation about some initiatives such as the dedicated Lok Sabha TV channel and the Parliament Museum.
