NATO soldier killed, 4 injured in Kabul blast
Thursday, May 01, 2008 13:03 [IST]
Kabul: NATO on Thursday said an explosion south of the capital has killed one soldier and wounded four others.

The military alliance said in a statement that the blast happened in Logar province as the troops patrolled yesterday. It did not identify the nationalities of the troops attacked.

Militants often target Afghan and foreign troops with roadside bombs throughout the country.

Over 1,000 people - mostly militants - have died in insurgency-related violence so far this year, according to a count by The Associated Press.
