Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government will start helicopter taxi service to tribal and picturesque valleys in the state, a top official of Tourism department said today.
The government would soon invite bids from reputed air service operators to conduct helicopter taxi service in the inner Himalayan regions of the state, Commissioner Tourism Ram Subhag Singh said addressing Indian Association of Tour operators meeting at Delhi, an official release said.
The air service providers will be asked to associate themselves with marketing of Himachal tourism and share the responsibilities of attracting tourists and generating business in the state, he said.
Singh said Naldhera golf course would be expanded from present nine holes to 18 holes.
Panchkarma and ayurvedic rejuvenation programmes would be started in all the Himachal tourism development corporation hotels, he added.
