Vijayawada: At least 23 people were injured when a Andhra Pradesh State Road transport bus fell into a canal after hitting the parapet wall of a bridge near here today.

The mishap occurred at Gudavalli village, about 15 kms from here, in Krishna district, police said adding six persons received serious injuries in the incident.

The bus carrying 38 people, including the driver, was going to Hyderabad, police said.

All the injured persons have been admitted to a local hospital, police added.
