BJP-sponsored strike affects life in Manipur
Friday, May 02, 2008 12:37 [IST]
Imphal: The BJP-sponsored general strike against price rise affected normal life in Manipur today with shops, markets and business establishments remaining closed.

Very few vehicles were visible on the roads in view of the strike, official sources said.

However, transport services between Manipur and the neighbouring states were not affected by the strike.

Attendance in government offices was also normal.

No untoward incident was reported from any part of the state.
