Goods train derails, two injured near Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Two persons were injured when six bogies of a goods train derailed at Mahalimurup railway station near Rajkharswan, about 55 kms from here, in Saraikela-Kharswan district.

The incident occurred when the train, laden with iron-ore and stone chips, rammed into a stationery goods train yesterday. The driver of the stationary train and his assistant sustained injuries.

One suffered minor injury, while the other fractured his hand, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Chakradharpur division, J S Bindra said.
