Surat: Five people were killed and five others seriously injured today when a truck turned turtle in Tapi district, police said.

The mishap took place near Rampura village on Vyara road in the district, when the truck driver lost control over the vehicle, they said.

The truck, carrying a marriage party was proceeding to Sahada village for a wedding from Ahmedabad, they said adding those injured have been admitted to a hospital in nearby Borsad town.
