School education Directorate goes online in J&K
Saturday, May 03, 2008 13:11 [IST]
Srinagar: The Directorate of school education in Kashmir valley launched its website today.

The website (www.dsek.nic.in) provides data on the school system including the flagship schemes like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), mid-day meal for school children, teacher education and Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CEE).

Thousands of teachers, students, parents and other stake-holders can download data on the working of schools and teaching and training institutions, Secretary school education G A Peer said while inaugurating the website.

He said the website shall, in due course, graduate to a dynamic platform where questions and queries about seniority, promotion, pension, GPF, recognition and renewal of private schools and public grievances can be appropriately handled.
