Bhavnagar: Six persons including three women were killed and five others injured in a collision today on the Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar road, police said.

The mishap took place near Sanesh village when a truck collided head-on with a car, carrying devotees on their way to Palitana, a Jain pilgrimage, they said.

The victims belonged to Mumbai's surburb Borivali and Gujarat's Vadodara district, police said. The injured have been admitted to Bhavnagar civil hospital.
