Basti: Two children were charred to death when a fire broke out in their house in Gokala Manjha village of the district, police said today.
The girls aged between two and four years were alone in their house when the mishap took place last night, police said, adding the cause of fire was not immediately known.
Fire tenders struggled for two hours to control the fire which also razed the house.
