New Delhi: Lt General (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma today assumed office as a member of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

A highly decorated official, he had a distinguished career during his 40 years in the Army, an official release said.

He held important assignments in military operations, planning, crisis management, material management and UN Peace Keeping Missions.
