Moscow: You all are bosses but I have no job , joked Russian leader Vladimir Putin today as he launched consultations with the political parties represented in the State Duma ahead of tomorrow's vote on his appointment as the new Prime Minister of Russia.
"Hello bosses!" Putin greeted the leaders of parliamentary parties at the formal consultations in the Kremlin following his nomination as the new prime minister by President Dmitry Medvedev.
"You all are bosses but I have no job," Putin explained to the bewildered Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov of the ruling United Russia party and Communist party chief Gennady Zyuganov along with the leaders of Kremlin loyalist A Just Russia and ultra-nationalist LDPR.
In accordance with the Russian constitution, Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov submitted his cabinet's resignation to President Medvedev after his inauguration.
Medvedev, who asked the Zubkov cabinet to continue till the appointment of a new PM and sent Putin's nomination for approval by the Duma (lower house), where ruling party has an absolute majority.
In the course of consultations with the parliamentary leaders Putin said that he was ready to discuss all the issues with them at tomorrow's extraordinary session of Duma ahead of voting on his nomination.
