Thursday, May 08, 2008 12:01 [IST]

New Delhi: Two persons were injured and as many cars damaged due to a low intensity blast in a gas-run car in South Delhi, police said today.

The incident took place near Lado Sarai traffic signal at around 10 pm last night, a senior police official said.

Police attributed the cause of the blast to some malfunctioning in the car.

The car was running on gas and we suspect there was a leakage, which cause the blast, the official said.

Vehicular traffic was affected on the route as some vehicles bumped into the car.
