SC notice to Bihar govt on Lalu's plea
Friday, May 09, 2008 12:39 [IST]
New Delhi: The Supreme Court today issued notice to the Bihar Government on a petition filed by RJD chief Lalu Prasad challenging the Patna High Court's decision to admit the state's appeal against his acquittal in the fodder scam case.

The Railway Minister and his wife Rabri Devi contended that the state government had no locus standi to file an appeal in the case, which had been investigated and prosecuted by the CBI.

CBI had also challenged the High Court decision.
