Elderly man dies in police custody in Anand

Ahmedabad: A 75-year-old man died in police custody at Bhalej police outpost in Anand district, police sources said today.

Chandu Ramsinh Maheda, was detained yesterday evening in a family dispute case following which he was found dead in the police lock-up under Umreth police station.

However, the cause of the death is still not known and will be clear only after the postmortem is done, they said adding the report is expected tomorrow.
