Durban: Six Pakistani nationals have been arrested in Johannesburg for allegedly possessing stolen electronic goods worth $300,000.
Acting on a tip off, police raided an electronics shop in central Johannesburg early this week, a spokesperson for the police, Julia Claasen, said today.
"They seized various goods, including cellular phones and microwave ovens. The owner of the shop couldn t provide proper invoices for the goods and also the goods differ from the one displayed on the shop," the officer said.
Those arrested are between the ages of 23 and 33 years, she said, adding "They have been charged with being possession of stolen property and as investigations proceeds, further charges will be added.
