10 kgs of RDX, ammunition recovered in Samba

Jammu: A day after foiling a major infiltration bid in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces recovered 10 kgs of RDX along with ammunition and other items from Sujani forest area of Samba district, a defence spokesman said here today.

Acting on a tip off, police and army launched a joint operation in the area last evening and recovered a huge cache of explosives and ammunition, the spokesman said.

The recovered items included 10 kg of RDX, two under barrel grenade launchers (UBGL), two detonators, 111 rounds of pika gun, one radio set and miscellaneous store goods, he added.
