Riding on the crest of a record profit of Rs 25,000 crores last year, Prasad will for the first time speak on railways turnaround story on foreign soil.

His experience of interactions with students of top business schools in India will come in handy when he meets 350 MBA students of globally reputed Institute d Administration des Affairs (INSEAD) Asia campus in Singpaore on Monday.

Prasad's visit to INSEAD is in response to an invitation from its global dean Frank Brown and Asia campus head Narayan Pant. They had come to India last year for an interaction with Lalu Prasad.

Railways have an agreement with INSEAD for providing training to its senior officials on customer strategies.

Besides addressing MBA students on turnaround of Indian Railways, Prasad is also slated to attend a presentation on the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit System.

The minister will be accompanied by senior railway officials including Railway Board Member (Staff) S S Khurana. S K Vij, Member (Engineer), will be joining the minister in Malayasia on May 16.

After Singapore, Prasad will travel to Malaysia where railways will sign an agreement on a high speed rail corridor project to be executed by the IRCON, a PSU under Railways Ministry.

Indian Railway has bagged a Rs 4048 crore contract to construct a 103-km electrified high-speed double line in Malaysia.

"This is one of the most prestigious contract taken by any railway construction company abroad till date," said a senior IRCON official.

Railway Board Member (Engineer), S K Vij, IRCON Managing Director, Ankush Krishan, and Executive Director, Jitesh Khanna, will also be present in Malaysia during the signing ceremony on May 16.
