New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday rejected Manu Sharma's bail plea in Jessica Lal murder case.

Earlier, the High Court had sentenced Manu Sharma to life imprisonment in the case. However, Manu Sharma has appealed against his sentence in the Supreme Court.

Jessica Lal was shot dead on April 30, 1999 at the Qutub Colonnade restaurant in south Delhi.

In 2006, a trial court acquitted all the nine accused due to lack of evidence against them.

However, the High Court reversed the acquittal and convicted Manu Sharma.
