Lucknow: Launching a scathing attack on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati for trying to "frame" party MP Amar Singh in fake cases, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday said he would meet the President and the state Governor in next few days to expose her "wheeling dealings" with evidence.
"The way in which raids were conducted at the Kolkata residence of Singh yesterday night to trace the rath (a luxury bus that ferried Singh and Amitabh Bachchan's family to Barabanki in January) by senior officers of the state will not be tolerated by the party," Yadav said.
"Police officers have been asked by Mayawati government to frame me, Amitabh Bachchan and Amar Singh," Yadav claimed, while releasing a CD containing a statement of police inspector, A K Dwivedi.
In the CD, Dwivedi alleged that he was given orders by the senior police officers including the DGP and Mayawati herself to frame Amar Singh.
"Mayawati has crossed all the limits and party will not remain silent now. We know what Mayawati is doing and how she is minting money and investing money in her company. I, Amar and other party leaders are ready to go to jail.... Let her send us to jail," Yadav said. Source : PTI
