Amritsar: With incidents of violence between Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP workers reported during the civic body polls in the state, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee today said that SAD-BJP government was "not stable" and both coalition partners were overlapping each other.
PPCC spokesperson Bir Davinder Singh said that the violence during the zila parishad and panchayat samiti elections yesterday was the glaring example where SAD activists allegedly on gun point grabbed the polling booths all over the state.
"Unprecedented violence among the leaders and workers of both the coalition partners, which included deaths, has created terror across the State," he alleged.
In the interest of the State and the people, the Congress Party therefore demand that the BJP should immediately withdraw support to the Shiromani Akali Dal Government, said Bir Davinder. Source : PTI
