Kohima: Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil will visit serial blast-hit Jaipur tomorrow to take stock of the situation.

This was stated by Patil, who is on a two-day visit to the North-East.

Patil, who will accompany Gandhi, said he was in constant touch with Home ministry officials in Delhi to get the latest update on the situation in the Pink City.

He was also in touch with Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and had assured her of all help from the Centre.

Patil appreciated the people of Rajasthan for showing restraint despite provocation by the perpetrators of violence who were trying to disturb peace.

Patil was speaking to reporters near Dimapur after attending the passing out parade of Assam Rifles.
