Wednesday, May 14, 2008 16:47 [IST]

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday sanctioned an ex-gratia amount of Rs 100,000 to the next of the kin of those killed in the serial blasts in Jaipur.

The amount would be given from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.

An ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 has also been sanctioned to those seriously injured in the terrorist attack, the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.

Authorities put the toll in the horrific terrorist attack at 63 dead and 216 injured.

Eight bombs went off Tuesday evening in 15 minutes within a one kilometre radius, causing a bloodbath Jaipur had never witnessed before.
