Wednesday, May 14, 2008 17:16 [IST]
Lahore: Pakistani police have arrested three "highly trained terrorists" in connection with a suicide bombing here in January that killed 26 people.

The three members of the outlawed Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen were in contact with the mastermind behind the suicide attack on a police picket at the General Post Office Chowk on January 10, officials said.

The three men - Sabir Ali alias Saifullah, Mohammad Ali alias Talha and Nasrullah - were arrested near a mosque in the vicinity of the main railway station.

Police officials described them as "highly trained terrorists".

Documents, pamphlets, cell phones and some cash were seized from the trio, officials said.
