New Delhi: Taking a cue from its central leadership which came out with a comic booklet, the Delhi BJP today launched an audio cassette of humorous songs to attack the Shiela Dikshit-led state government over the issue of price rise and others ahead of Assembly polls.
Released by senior BJP leader L K Advani, the audio cassette "Hai Mahngai" (Terrible price rise) is a compilation of humorous songs, taking a dig at the Delhi's government's unfulfilled promises.
BJP national president Rajnath Singh in his message sent on the occasion claimed that whenever Congress-led governments come to power at the Centre, people have to suffer because of rising prices of basic commodities.
Prepared at the behest of Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Jagdish Mukhi, the BJP through the songs has also made a sort of appeal to all Delhiites to uproot the Congress government in the forthcoming elections.
Mukhi said that the cassettes is the party's attempt to highlight the failure of Delhi Government on all fronts including price rise, availability of water and electricity besides the issue of regularisation of unauthorised colonies.
Last week, BJP had released a 20-page comic booklet making a mockery of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh alleging that price rise has made the life of common man miserable. Source : PTI
