Washington: The United States today said its stand on Kashmir remains unchanged and left it to India and Pakistan to resolve the issue through dialogue.
"There's no change in US policy on this (Kashmir issue). Certainly we believe that any difference any differences between India and Pakistan are things that should be resolved through dialogue. "And as you know, we've supported dialogue and discussion among the parties in the past, and we'll continue to do so," State Department Deputy Spokesman Tom Casey told reporters today.
His remarks came in response to a query regarding a statement by Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani that Kashmir was a core issue in the relations between the two countries which can be resolved "beyond" the UN resolutions.
