Jammu: Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Indo-Pak border in Poonch district late last night.

Troops guarding the Line of Control spotted some movement near Kranti Post in the district.

Militants, who had taken shelter in the area, fired on the troops, official sources said.

The exchange of fire between the two sides continued for some time following which the group of four to five militants fled to the Pakistani side.
