Jaipur: The priest of a local temple and a few beggars are being called to help identify eight unidentified bodies lying at a state-run government hospital here following Tuesday's devastating terror attack tht killed 61 people.

Rajasthan Health Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi said they have sought the help of the priest of Hanuman temple at Sanganeri Gate where the most powerful bomb explosion occurred Tuesday and caused maximum damage.

"There are eight unidentified bodies and we believe that these are of those who used to beg at the Hanuman temple," Rajvi told IANS.

"The priest would know who used to beg near the temple. We are also seeking the help of the beggars, as they would authenticate it. Most beggars choose one place and don't change their place of work."

At the Sawai Man Singh Hospital there were 15 unclaimed bodies Thursday morning. But by afternoon relatives of seven victims had identified them.

For the rest, "apart from seeking help from the priest and the beggars we would be flashing their photographs in the media, both electronic and print", Rajvi said. "This would help us also."

He said a total of 277 people were rushed to seven city hospitals Tuesday. Many were discharged after first aid.

On Thursday, there were 134 injured in the hospitals, of which Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital has 111.

Rajvi said 50 were brought dead. While in SMS Hospital 45 were brought dead, five were taken to another hospital.

"At the moment seven people are in critical condition. Five of them are in the SMS hospital," he added.
