Friday, May 16, 2008 13:39 [IST]

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi was today admitted to a city hospital after he complained of severe neck and back pain.

Doctors attending on him at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College Hospital said he will need to spend at least a few days in the hospital as he needed complete rest.

Tamil Nadu Finance Minister K Anbazhagan has appealed to the public not to disturb the Chief Minister till he recovers completely.

Karunanidhi (84) had been suffering from back and neck pain for long and had ignored doctor's advice to take some weeks rest in the past.
