Rameswaram: Influx of Sri Lankan Tamil refugees continued with 15 refugees arriving at Dhanushkodi here today, official sources said.

About 270 refugees had arrived here over the past three days following escalation of hostilities between Sri Lankan security forces and the LTTE.

Meanwhile, naval personnel along with revenue officials rescued ten refugees including six children stranded for 17 hours on a sand dune in the sea near here after the boat man ferrying them left them there yesterday.

Police efforts to rescue them yesterday were foiled due to the rough sea.
