Srinagar: Six militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district today.
On a tip off, police assisted by army and CRPF cordoned Lurgam-Tral village, 45 kms from here.
Finding themselves trapped, the militants hiding in a house opened indiscriminate fire on the search party and in the ensuing encounter six militants were killed, police said. The operation was still continuing.
