Lion cub rescued from well in Gujarat

Junagadh (Gujarat): A six-month-old lion cub was rescued Monday from a well on the outskirts of a village in Saurashtra region of Gujarat.

The cub which got separated from its mother fell into the well near Sutrapada village, 150 km from here, Sunday night. Hearing its cries, the villagers informed the forest department.

The rescue could be carried out only in the morning. The cub was now out of danger, officials said.
