Landslide in Orissa claims five lives

Bhubaneswar: A landslide in Kalahandi district of Orissa has claimed at least five lives, the police said on Monday.

The landslide occurred near Depur village, 610 km from here, where nearly a dozen people were working at a construction site, additional district superintendent of police Vibek Kumar Rath told reporters over phone.

While four people were killed on the spot, a woman died in a local hospital, he said. Three people injured are under going treatment at the hospital, he added.
