Islamabad: Foreign Secretary Shiv Shankar Menon arrived here tonight to resume the composite dialogue with his Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir.
Menon, leading a high-level official delegation, declined to talk to the media at the airport here and drove straight to his hotel.
The two countries are set to hold the composite dialogue after a break of a year.
Talks between Menon and Bashir will precede the meeting between External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on May 21.
Before meeting Qureshi, Mukherjee will hold separate meetings with ruling Pakistan People's Party chief Asif Ali Zardari, PML (N) head Nawaz Sharif and Awami National Party leader Ashfandiyar Wali Khan tomorrow.
Terrorism, Kashmir issue and prisoners in each other s jails will top the agenda when India and Pakistan hold talks here from tomorrow.
India is expected to take up concerns about cross-border terrorism and instances of firing along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of the two-day talks while Pakistan has already made it clear that the "core issue" of Kashmir will also figure during the meeting.
