Patna: Patna High Court today rejected controversial RJD MP Shahabuddin's bail plea in a case relating to seizure of illegal firearms from his native Pratappur village house in Siwan district.

Dismissing the bail application, Justice V N Sinha directed the special court in Siwan to expedite trial within the next two months. The case was registered at Hussainabad police station in Siwan following seizure of illegal firearms from Shahabuddin's house during a raid on April 24, 2005. Shahabuddin was already convicted in four criminal cases.
