Iran: Rebels freed kidnapped Japanese tourist

Tehran: Iranian rebels have freed a Japanese tourist kidnapped in October in southeastern Iran, Intelligence Minister Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejeie told the state IRNA news agency today.

"A Japanese tourist who was kidnapped 10 months ago by drug dealers and armed bandits in Kerman province and transferred to Pakistan was freed," he said.

Satoshi Nakamura, 23,was abducted on October 8 in a region of southeast Iran bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan.
