Monday, June 16, 2008 16:16 [IST]

aarushi_01Ghaziabad (UP): In an indictment of Uttar Pradesh Police, CBI today said the crime scene of the Noida twin murder was not examined properly despite several vital clues for cracking the mystery being available for many days.

"In the Aarushi murder case, every time the CBI team visited the crime scene, some new evidences were coming up. Some time it is liquor bottle, some time a blood soaked pillow and some time other evidence. The fact is that the crime scene was not inspected properly," CBI Special Director M L Sharma said here.

Inaugurating a course on Evidence Recovery, Preservation and Exploitation, jointly conducted by CBI and America's FBI, Sharma said the Indian police was yet to acquire the art of crime scene management. He later told reporters that the CBI probe into the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case was on the "right track".

Sharma, however, refused give any time-frame as to when the agency would wrap up the murder probe and bring the guilty to book. The investigating agency has also questioned Raj Kumar, the domestic help of Anita Durrani, a friend of the Talwars, seized his mobile phone and sent it for forensic examination.

Talwar's compounder Krishna, at present in the custody of the agency, was taken to Noida this morning where searches were again conducted to trace the mobile phone of the two victims besides finding the murder weapon. A servant of Talwars neighbour was also questioned.
