New Delhi: A 35-year-old salesman allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his east Delhi house and wrote a suicide note in blood on the wall, police said Wednesday.

Yograj Lal, a resident of Lalita Park in Laxmi Nagar, was found dead Tuesday night, a police official said.

"We received a call at 9.45 p.m. (Tuesday) from neighbours of Yograj," he said.

Yograj was found hanging from the ceiling when police broke open the door. "He had written a suicide note on the wall with his blood," the official added.

"In the note, he has blamed his wife Reena, his friend Vinod and his elder daughter Mishu for this extreme step."

Police said that Yograj suspected his wife of having an affair with his friend.

Yograj's parents, who lived on the ground floor of the house, had gone to Aligarh when the incident took place.

"His wife had on May 16 gone to meet her mother, but she never reached her mother's house and is untraceable at present," the official said.

"No arrests have been made yet. Yograj's friend has been questioned and we are investigating the matter," said Parwaiz Ahmed, Additional Commissioner of Police (east district).
